Star AniseStar Anise is an evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. It typically grows to a height of just 4–6 meters, but can sometimes reach up to 20 meters. In Chinese culture, it's called "eight-pronged anise" or simply "eight-pronged" in reference to its characteristic eight-follicle fruit. The main chemical component of Star Anise oil is anethole, which gives it its distinctive, licorice-like aroma, for which both the Star Anise essential oil and the plant's fruit are well-known. As a key ingredient in doTERRA ZenGest™ blend, Star Anise oil can have beneficial effects when applied topically for stomach discomfort.

GingerThe dōTERRA Ginger essential oil, sourced from Madagascar, is produced from the fresh rhizome of the plant, which is the modified underground stem that continues into the root system of ginger. Known as a prominent ingredient in Asian cuisine, ginger offers a pungent, aromatic flavor as a culinary spice. In Western traditions, it is more commonly used in sweets, such as gingerbread or ginger biscuits.

BergamotBergamot is one of the most delicate citrus fruits, requiring a special climate and soil composition to thrive. In Greece, the unripe fruit is eaten as a dessert with a spoon or consumed with coffee. Bergamot is unique among citrus oils as it can simultaneously uplift and calm the mood. It has been used for centuries to soothe dispositions and rejuvenate the skin.

Ylang YlangYlang Ylang essential oil is extracted from the star-shaped flowers of the tropical Ylang Ylang tree. Due to its rich, sweet aroma and protective properties, it is often found in luxury hair and skin care products. Additionally, Ylang Ylang is known to have calming and mood-enhancing effects.

FrankincenseThanks to its rich aroma, Frankincense essential oil is considered one of the most cherished and valuable oils, often referred to as the "king" of essential oils. Due to its soothing and beautifying properties, when applied topically, it can have a skin-rejuvenating effect and may help reduce the appearance of skin imperfections.
